I loved the game since the very first time I saw it and decided to model and 3D print an entire board with detached deployment zones!

You can find the file here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2083253-crossfire-sector-boardgame-board#profil...

Feel free to ask any question or leave a comment to improve it :)

Looking  good! I really have to get my 3D printer back and working properly.. :-)

Here it is 👍 Thank you all.

Great game indeed. Congratulations.

Have fun everyone.

PS. It's perfect for home rules and campaigns, and the single player modes are also great.

Ciao se possibile potresti condividere le carte in ita?
Grazie

Ciaoo! farebbe molto piacere anche a me la condivisione <3

I tried the game and I think it's fantastic. I translated the faction sheets into Italian and turned them into MTG cards so I could use them with sleeves

Thanks very much.. Great to hear you enjoy the game.. :-) And those cards look good!

Love the simple ruleset! Tried the Zombie Defense Mode and enjoyed it even without the physical board, but can't wait to play it with minis :)

It’s incredible how many ways this game can be played! Really interesting to see. Thanks very much for the feedback :-)

WoW, really interesting and great content in your videos. Where can I find the battlefields for both 15mm and 28mm to print? I'm a disaster with the PC. Thanks so much.

Thanks so much.. :-) There are no 28mm battlefields to print, but there is one for smaller scale in Add On 2 or you can find a fantastic printable battle map made by BoardGer on boardgamegeek here: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/311221/crossfire-sector-map-a-jpg

Hello, i found out your game and it is very interesting, i translated all your pdf in italian, if you need them i could send to you, i also prepared a layout of the cards to fit my magic card sleeves.

If you want just tell me how to send you a google drive link.

Thank for your game

Thanks very much for the interest in the game.. :-)

That sounds great. There already is a French version, so Italian is a great supplement. The French translation is available in the files section on boardgamegeek. Otherwise you’re more than welcome to send me the link on: lindorf74@icloud.com

Ciao, mi puoi aiutare, puoi condividermi i file in italiano rifatti da te e i campi da battaglia per cortesia. Grazie. n.luongo@hotmail.it

Really liked the game. It's easy to setup and fast to play. Works great with 28mm miniatures. I have seen your recent video and bought it just right away. Keep up those good content and thanks for sharing that with your community!

Great looking board and choice of minis! :-) Thanks very much for the interest in the game.

Hi, can you share the game field file? It's really nice, for Warhammer 40k miniatures. Thanks. n.luongo@hotmail.it

the comment section is so  broken that i cannot share links. click on my username and see my projetcs

Oh, I'm not sure why it doesn't work.. The Moon surface battlefield is another great battlefield layout!

Ciao, fantastico campo di battaglia a tema Warhammer 40K. Potresti inviarmi il file? Te ne sarei davvero grato. Vorrei provare a giocarci con il 28mm. Grazie mille. n.luongo@hotmail.it

The game is fantastic! I have been playing with paper prints and scrounged bits & pieces but wanted something better.
So, I decided to design and print my own 3D components to play the game.

I tried to make the model design follow various game rules, with the board delineated into sections reflecting objectives and set up. Terrain pieces are 1, 2 and 4 squares in size with either blocking or cover bonuses. (Size 3 is a 1 & 2 together).
I also included "Activated" markers and Initiative trackers. The pawns are just a temporary measure until I can print some nice figures, but I did include a commander pawn in the set. There is also a Count-up D6 to track the rounds.
I have uploaded the files to Maker World - Crossfire Sector Game Components by ShaunGamer MakerWorld: Download Free 3D Models.

This is simply amazing! I love the aesthetics.. Just fits so well to the game.. Awesome work! 👍 I’m really interested in following the project with the design of Faction units as well.. Will it be ok to link and/or include photos in my future videos, with credits of course?

Thank you very much for your kind words. The quality and design of the game make it a pleasure to engage with, and I’m excited to see how far my 3D skills can take me with the Faction miniatures ... though I can’t make any promises.

You are welcome to use any of my work, including photos and other creations, to promote your game. All of my contributions are shared under a Creative Commons AttributionShare Alike license, so please feel free to use them as you see fit.

Thank you again for developing such an outstanding game!

I played it with my son over the weekend, we had a lot of fun and are already looking forward to trying out the expansion!

Fantastic! Looks great .. :-) I hope you'll enjoy the expansions as well.

Played a few games this past weekend. Very fun little game full of strategy! Sometime you think it's over but you always have a chance to win with one guy standing and a little luck...

Anybody tried something like a misc team? 1 sniper, 1 skirmisher, 1 tank, 1 mystic and 1 solar warden in the same team? I guess a mirror match would be the best way to try this out...

I think that the different factions have good synergy within themselves for support and tactics so having a misc team might imply some new strategy.

Anyway, great game!!

Thanks a lot!

I have had a few suggestions about mixed teams, and I’m working on the possibility of a point system that can calculate how to buy a team. Different price for regular factions, but more expensive the more mixed they are. Also points for Commanders, commander rules and the upcoming Combat Upgrades (coming in Add on 4).

I hope to test it enough to also work with campaign mode. Earn points for wins, but also pay points for injured units etc.

The trick is to keep everything balanced, so I’ll have to test quite a lot first. :-)

I’m not sure I really want point but and all that jazz.  Lots of other games do that already.  We usually play quick competitive games  best two out of three, so all I really want is a few semi-balanced commanders for each faction so we can add that choice into our setup.

Played several times this week and had a blast.  Is there somewhere other than ITCH.IO or YouTube to follow development?  I know you mentioned a couple more Add Ons are in the works, but if you're still taking any suggestions I'm interested in seeing
a) a couple more Commanders for each faction (can still only choose one per battle).
b) Third type of Terrain that you can move through at a cost (either +1 move cost or an attack, for examples).
c) I would love to see some STLs for the various factions and Commanders.  Miniature agnostic is great, but I love the aesthetic from the art you've provided.

Keep up the great work!

So far it’s here and YouTube.. but I’m working on Boardgamegeek as well. I’m writing down all suggestions and ideas and they’re more than welcome..  Extra Commanders could be great fun to make. I’ll definitely look into that. Also the third terrain type - great idea! The ultimate thing would be if someone actually could design STL files for the factions.. that would be awesome..

Thanks very much for the interest and ideas :-)

Amazing game, having fun with it!
Came here from the Square Table Union video.

While the rules and first two add ons are pretty polished, there seems to be a few minor problems with add on 3.

Special Rule: Overheat states that attacking unit "takes 1 damage". There are no damage rules in this game, maybe you meant gets Downed?

AI Behaviours for Solo mentions Combat Ranged and Combat Melee behaviors, while the rules define only a unified Combat behavior.
It also mentions and Aggressive behavior that's not defined in the rules, assuming that Ritual is what's been defined in the parenthesis.

Thanks very much for the interest in the game and also thanks for the feedback. I saw that video too - looking forward to his battle report!

There is definitely a mistanke in the "Overheat" section. It should say:

  • Special Rule: Overheat – If any unit rolls 12 on attack, it goes down (It’s still an instant kill hit on the target)

  I'll correct it.

The AI behaviour is also confusing. It was meant to differ the faction focus in this particular campaign. I'm working on a more clarified AI behaviour for each faction that already is in the basic rules, and will give each faction an AI focus.

Aggressive Focus will be added as well. With that being said, I'll still have the Wardens keep their random focus to let them be more unpredictable in this campaign even though their "normal" focus is Support.

I'm having quite a bit of fun with this, but there has been an issue where the add-on with the new faction is printing weird. The colors are offset and words get cut off, the whole stat line is just gone. Is this a me issue? The other files printed out fine so I'm a bit confused.

Other from that, though, I love how zippy it is to throw down and play. I've been using different dice from BaronofDice for factions and terrain XD it's been good fun, though I feel a couple of the factions are a bit weak, though that's likely my style more than anything.

Thanks for the feedback. I have heard about others with issues with add on 2. Not about the colors though, but I'll definitely look into it. The printing part can be hacked by using the "scale to the paper" instead of full size just before printing. At least until I find a way to fix it.. :-)

During my playtesting and also regular play, I can't really find a faction that is generally the weakest or the best. It really depends on mission types etc. I'll upload a battle report today on my YouTube channel, where it comes down to the very last dice roll in the game.. :-)

Gave it a go tonight for the first time.  Had a blast!!!

Fantastic! It's so good to see pictures of the different setups, terrain etc. Thanks very much for the interest in the game.. :-)

Nice game 👍

I came here from the YT video. I'll give it a try 😉.

By any chance, do you have a default terrain to download or a terrains generator site to recommend?

Thanks very much. I hope you’ll have a good time with the game. :-) I don’t have any files, but I have found the terrain from the videos free on Thingiverse. Another terrain type I have used is simply real rocks or wooden pieces.. as long as the scale is small, it’ll work.👍

Thx for your reply,

here my question was more  about the board picture itself ;)

I want to be sure of the dimension to avoid downsized squares tiles,

Also  i'm curious about the 3-parts board making-off. ( because i think it could be of good use with my printer and adhesive paper, when one sheet of cardstock is not enough)

The battlefield size I use is roughly 30x10 cm - 28x19 to be exact. The board tiles are from a RPG floor tile terrain set that I just conveniently used as a battlefield. I can't remember the brand behind the tiles though.

Grabbed the files and add-ons and built a board to play at 1-inch (25mm) scale. Now I just need to make some cover terrain pieces. Appreciate you sharing with the community! Here's the board I made. 🙂

Looks absolutely great!👍 I would love to see more of the terrain and factions as well.. Thanks for the interest in the game

Very cool idea, I will print it out and give it a go. Thanks!

Thanks for trying out the game.. There are two videos so far on my channel, and Add-on 3 on the way soon.. I hope you enjoy it😊
